چکیده
Transient receptor potential vanilloid 4 (TRPV4) is expressed at the membrane of mouse ventricular myocytes and colocalizes with non-T-tubular L-type calcium channels. Deletion trpv4 gene in mice results shortened QT interval on electrocardiogram reduced action duration myocytes. Pharmacological activation TRPV4 channel leads to increased transient amplitude −/− but not To contrary, pharmacological inhibition reduces +/+ Integration a computational model shows that carries an inward current contributing slowing down repolarization increase amplitude, similarly what observed experimentally. This study highlights for first time involvement electrical activity.

Electroacupuncture reduces chronic fibromyalgia pain through attenuation of transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 signaling pathway in mouse brains
Objective(s): Fibromyalgia pain is a mysterious clinical pain syndrome, characterized by inflammation in the brain, whose molecular mechanisms are still unknown. Females are more commonly affected by fibromyalgia, exhibiting symptoms such as widespread mechanical pain, immune dysfunction, sleep disturbances, and poor quality of life. Electroacupuncture (EA) has been us...
متن کاملStructure-Driven Pharmacology of Transient Receptor Potential Channel Vanilloid 1.
The transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) ion channel is a polymodal receptor that mediates the flux of cations across the membrane in response to several stimuli, including heat, voltage, and ligands. The best known agonist of TRPV1 channels is capsaicin, the pungent component of "hot" chili peppers. In addition, peptides found in the venom of poisonous animals, along with the lipid...
متن کاملTransient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1
Background and structure Transient receptor potential vanilloid receptor 1 (TRPV1) is one of 6 members of the subfamily of vanilloid receptors that belongs to the family of transient receptor potential (TRP) channels. TRP channels are an intrinsic part of the mammalian sensory system responding to a broad range of stimuli such as temperature, touch, pain, osmolarity, pheromones, and taste (8). ...
متن کاملA functional transient receptor potential vanilloid 4 (TRPV4) channel is expressed in human endothelial progenitor cells.
Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) are mobilized into circulation to replace damaged endothelial cells and recapitulate the vascular network of injured tissues. Intracellular Ca(2+) signals are key to EPC activation, but it is yet to be elucidated whether they are endowed with the same blend of Ca(2+) -permeable channels expressed by mature endothelial cells. For instance, endothelial colony f...
